4.3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Place the pacifier in your child's mouth before turning it on.
1. Press and release the power button (1). A short beep will be heard and all the
symbols will be turned on for 1 second to show that all parts of the LCD are
functioning properly,
then the last measurement will be shown on the display for 2 seconds.
After this, the screen will very briefly show 37.0ºC if operating correctly.
When the flashing ºC symbol appears take the body temperature.
2. On reaching its thermal equilibrium or peak, the ºC symbol stops flashing and the beeper will
sound 10 times. The temperature is now ready to be read and will not change once the pacifier is
removed.
3. If the measured temperature is higher then 37.8ºC, the fever warning function will emit 3 fast
beeps 10 times .
4. LCD will display "HiºC" if the measured temperature is above 43.0ºC.
5. LCD will display "LoºC" if the measured temperature is below 32.0ºC.
6. After measuring, turn off the unit by pressing the power button. If the power is left on, the ther-
mometer will switch off after approximately 9 minutes to save power.
7. Press and release power button to take another reading.
