1 Intended use
This product is designed to provide illumination under or in furniture such as tables, cabinets or
shelves. The electrical connection for the product should have an on/off switch to interrupt the
mains connection. The under-cabinet lamp does not have an on/off switch.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture
(e.g. in a bathroom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
Installation and assembly work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the operating
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third
parties together with its operating instructions.

equipped with reinforced or dual insulation between the mains circuit and the output

6 Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling, we will assume no liability for any resulting personal injury
or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
6.1 General information
This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
If you have questions that remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be carried out by a technician or a specialist
repair centre.
6.2 Handling
Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may damage
the product.

6.3 Operating conditions
Do not expose the product to any mechanical stress.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
The product must only be installed and operated for use in dry rooms!
Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
6.4 LED light
Attention, LED light:
– Do not look directly into the LED light.
– Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
6.5 Operation
Do not operate while covered!
Before installation, conduct a visual check to ensure that the product is not damaged. If the
product is damaged, do not use it.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorised
use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
6.6 Electrical safety

The product should only be installed and connected by people with relevant electrical
knowledge and experience! *)
If the product is not installed properly, you risk:

severe damage to property, e.g. due to a fire

The "Five Safety Rules": Disconnect from the mains; protect against accidental switch-on;
ensure there is no voltage; earth and short-circuit; cover or protect adjacent live parts
Use of suitable tools, measuring devices and personal protective equipment, where
necessary

power supply

Installation of electrical insulation materials
Type of power supply (TN system, IT system, TT system) and the corresponding connection
criteria (classic earthing, protective earthing, necessary additional measures etc.)
If you do not have sufficient knowledge in all of the aforementioned topics, contact a specialist
and do not attempt to install or connect the product yourself.
Before connecting the product to the mains, check that your local AC mains voltage
matches the specifications on the type plate.
Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to the
device. If liquid or an object does enter the interior of the device, switch off the power supply
to the corresponding connection cable (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker). Discontinue use
and take the product to a specialist repair centre for repair.
Make sure the connection cable is not squashed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or
otherwise subjected to mechanical strain. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the power
cable from extreme heat or cold. Never attempt to modify the cable. Failure to adhere to
these instructions may lead to damage of the cable. A damaged cable can result in a life-
threatening electric shock.
The under-cabinet light is only fully isolated from the mains when the mains voltage has
been switched off!
