- The air must not be directed into a chimney that
used for smoke from household appliances that use gas
or other fuels (this does not apply to extractor hoods that work
in recirculation mode). Before installing the extractor hood, find
out about the applicable local regulations on air and smoke
extraction. If the extractor hood is operated in exhaust air
mode and a fireplace is operated at the same time, the
negative pressure in the room in which the fireplace is installed
must not be greater than 4 Pa (4x10 bar).
