Attention:
The polystyrene cutter is exclusively designed for
cutting polystyrene foam such as façade insulation
plates, roof insulation plates or basement insulation
plates. The vapor caused by the cutting process must
be removed by a technical exhaust facility when work
is done in rooms. Never put PVC coated amaterials,
the toxic fumes are harmful to your health. Please be
careful when working with the tool to prevent accidents
such as burning yourself or your surroundings.
Never touch the blade after the switch has been passed
down.
Do not lay tool against any surface after using until the
blade has cooled down. Always unplug tool when not
being used.
Operation
1. Unscrew the binding screws.
2. Insert the blade.
3. Tighten binding screwes again carefully.
4. Befor you plug in the tool, check the voltage which
is indicated on the label.
5. When you press down the switch the blade heats
up. After about 10 secs. the suitable cutting
temperature is received. This can be checked when
the blade is held to the styrofoam.
To provide clean and smooth cutting the working
temperature of the tool has been adjusted to the
before mentioned material type. The cutting speed
depends on the thickness of the material to be cut.
6. The coated blade is made of high class steel.
7. The blade may be cleaned with the metal brush
while it is warm.
Explanation referring to the label on the tool
Do not hold the tool "on" position continuously, to
prevent abnormal high blade temperature. Allow the
blade to cool down during operation.
The indications 12s/48s means the following. After
12 seconds of heating respectively working with the
tool it shall cool down for 48 seconds.
The device possesses a voltage range which can pose
an electrical hazard to humans and animals.
This should only be screwed and / or disassembled by
authorised personnel.
Similarly, maintenance and repair work should only
be conducted by electrical specialists and authorised
service centres.
The buyer / user operates the device at their own risk
and under their own responsibility.
