7.2 Connecting and charging the camera
To be able to use the camera, you must first charge the battery.
Connect one end of the included micro USB cable to the camera's micro USB port.

Connect the other end of the cable to the included USB power adapter.

Plug the power adapter into a mains socket.

The yellow LED starts to glow steadily. When it goes out, the charging process is complete.

Before charging, the sliding switch must be set to "OFF".
The camera can also be used while it is charging. This is how you can record long videos.
To be able to use the camera as it is charging, it must first be connected to the USB power
adapter and then switched on.

7.3 Inserting the memory card

If you want to use a memory card, insert it into the card slot before turning on the camera.

Slide the memory card into the slot and push it in until it clicks into place. Insert the card

such that its contacts are oriented upwards towards the sliding switch.
If you want to remove the memory card, push the card in again to eject it. Then pull it out

of the slot.
7.4 Turning on the camera/connection mode
To switch on the camera, slide the switch from the "OFF" position to the "ON" position.

During camera initiation, the red and blue LEDs glow steadily.
After about 15 seconds, a voice message indicates that the camera is being initiated.

After about 50 seconds, the initiation process is complete, and the camera automatically

switches to connection mode. The blue LED goes off and the red LED starts to flash.
Every few seconds, a voice message prompts you to scan the code to connect to the app.

Once the camera has been connected to the app, switched on and initiated, the red LED
goes off, and the blue LED glows steadily.
To switch off the camera, slide the switch from the "ON" position to the "OFF" position.

8 Configuring and operating the camera in the app

8.1 Installing the app

Open the respective app store on your smartphone. If you are using

Android
, open "Google Play". If you are using an Apple device, open
TM
"App Store" from Apple.
Search for the "Smart Life - Smart Living" app (house icon with blue

background) and install it.
You can also scan the respective QR code below or tap on the name. You will be redirected

to the page of the appropriate store.
Google Play
8.2 Launching the app for the first time
Open the previously installed "Smart Life - Smart Living" app.

If you have not created a free account yet, please sign up and follow the instructions.

Log in to the app using your account.

If you are using several devices, we recommended that you create a profile for your home

first. You can then create several profiles (e.g. for each room). The corresponding settings
page in the app can be accessed with the button in the lower right corner.
8.3 Linking the Wi-Fi camera
For configuration, your smartphone and Wi-Fi camera should be connected to the same

Wi-Fi network.
Important:
Please note that only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported.
Before connecting your camera to the app, ensure the connection mode is enabled.

Switch on the camera and wait for the red LED to start flashing.

Apple iOS
You can add a new device manually by tap-

ping "+" on the top right of the app's main
page and selecting the device you want to
add. Otherwise, tap the blue button below in
the middle.
You can add the Wi-Fi camera to the app by

selecting the eighth item for video monitoring
in the left column (see the left black rectangle
in the screenshot).
Then select the first camera, "Smart Camera

(Wi-Fi)" (see the right black rectangle in the
screenshot).
Tapping this rectangle takes you to the next
configuration page.
If the red LED is still flashing, check the box

(small rectangle in the screenshot) for the
button below to turn blue and get activated.
Then tap the bottom blue button in the app to

go to the Wi-Fi settings.
If your Wi-Fi network has not been applied

automatically, first select it (tap the double
arrow on the right) and then enter the Wi-Fi
password.
Tap the blue button to save your selection

and continue.
Then a QR code will be generated and dis-

played on your smartphone.
Hold your smartphone 15 to 20 cm away from

the camera so that it can read the QR code.
Keep moving the camera towards and away

from your smartphone.
Once the QR code has been read, the red

LED glows steadily, and the blue LED flashes
at the same time. A voice message simulta-
neously indicates that the camera has been
found.
Wait until the red LED goes off and the blue

LED glows steadily.
Then tap the blue button to continue.

The app will search for the new device and

complete the setup. This can take several
minutes.
When setup is complete, the display should

look like the right-hand screenshot. If
anything went wrong, repeat the process.
Tap the pencil icon to assign an individual

name to the new device.
If you have previously created a profile with

rooms, you can assign the device to a room.
Tap the desired room under the name of the
device so that it is highlighted with a dark
background.
Finally, tap the blue lettering at the top to

complete the setup.
The newly added device will be displayed on the main page (see the first screenshot in

the next section).
If you assigned the device to a room, it will also be shown under the respective room.

If you tap to switch to a room, you will only see the devices that are linked to that room.
