1. General
The spray caddy is state of the art and complies
with approved technical safety regulations.
The spray caddy carries the CE symbol, i.e. the EU
Directives and harmonised standards of relevance
to the spray caddy were applied during design and
manufacture. The spray caddy may be used only
in a technically flawless condition in the version
delivered by the manufacturer.
For safety reasons, the spray caddy must not be
modified.
1.1 Safety
Each spray caddy is tested for functionality and
safety before despatch.
The spray caddy is safe to operate when used
correctly.
Incorrect operation, failure to follow the safety
instructions or misuse poses a dangerous risk with
regard to:
• the life and limb of the operator.
• the spray caddy and other assets of the ope-
rator.
• the function of the spray caddy.
As the operator of the spray caddy, you are re-
sponsible for ensuring that
• all safety instructions are understood and
complied with.
• the valid rules of occupational safety are com-
plied with.
• only instructed individuals operate the spray
caddy (see the section on operating the spray
caddy).

1.1.1 Using original parts

Please only use original parts provided or recom-
mended by the manufacturer. Also take note of all
safety and usage information provided with these
parts.
This concerns spare and wear parts as well as
accessories.
1.1.2 Operating the spray caddy
In order to avoid any hazards due to incorrect
operation, the spray caddy may be operated only
by individuals who have
• read and understood the operating instructions,
• have proven their ability to operate the equip-
ment,
• and have been assigned to operate the equip-
ment.
Important!
The operating instructions must be easily accessi-
ble at the spray caddy for each user.

Correct use

The spray caddy is intended for spraying liquid,
water-based thawing agents on ice- or snow-cove-
red surfaces in various outdoor locations.
For faster results, clear snow-covered surfaces
before spraying.
Important! When using ready-made

mixtures:
The safety data sheet for the liquid thaw-
ing agent used and the safety instructions
it contains must be observed when using
this agent with the spray caddy.
Important! When using your own

mixtures:
Make sure that the particle size in the
mixture is smaller than 0.4 mm. Use a
funnel with an appropriate sieve when
filling.
