Wireless Doorbell

1 Intended use
The product is a wireless doorbell. The bell push is battery operated and the chime box con-
nects to a mains power supply.
Important:
The transmitter (bell push) has an IP44 ingress protection rating. It is resistant against
water splashing from all directions. It can be installed outdoors in sheltered areas.
The receiver (chime box) is not water resistant. Contact with moisture must be
avoided under all circumstances. For indoor use only.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be dam-
aged.
Improper use can result in short circuits, fires, electric shocks or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product
available to third parties only together with the operating instructions.

4 Description of symbols

5 Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or
damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
5.1 General
The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous
playing material for children.
If you have questions which remain unanswered by this information product, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an
authorised repair centre.
5.2 Handling
Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
5.3 Operating environment
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam
and solvents.
Protect the product from direct sunlight.

5.4 Operation
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the
product.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and pro-
tect it from any accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe op-
eration can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
5.5 Receiver: electrical safety
Do not modify or repair mains supply components including mains plugs, mains
cables, and power supplies. Do not use damaged components. Risk of death by
electric shock!
Connect the product to a mains socket that can be accessed easily.
Only connect the product to a mains socket connected to the public supply. Before con-
necting, check whether the voltage stated on the rating plate complies with the voltage of
your electricity supplier.
Never connect or disconnect the product if your hands are wet. There is a risk of electric
shock.
For safety reasons, disconnect the product from the mains socket during storms.
Do not touch the product if there are any signs of damage, as this may cause a fatal
electric shock! Take the following steps:
– Switch off the mains supply to the product (switch off the corresponding circuit breaker
or remove the safety fuse, and then switch off the corresponding RCD protective
switch).
– Remove the product from the mains socket.
– Do not use the product again. Prevent others from using it.
5.6 Transmitter: (rechargeable) battery
Correct polarity must be observed while inserting (rechargeable) batteries.
The (rechargeable) batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a
long period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged (re-
chargeable) batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use
suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted (rechargeable) batteries.
(Rechargeable) batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave (re-
chargeable) batteries lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow them.
(Rechargeable) batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire.
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
6 Insert / replace battery
If the bell push no longer activates the chime box, you may need to replace the battery.
1. (If an insulation strip protrudes from the battery compartment) pull it out to establish the
power supply.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert a battery matching the polarity shown inside.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover. Make sure the seal around the battery compart-
ment cover is seated properly.
7 Installation
Preconditions:

The mounting surface is dry, level, non-porous and free from debris.

The transmitter and receiver are within range.

The transmitter battery is installed.
1. Remove the adhesive backing on the transmitter.
2. Firmly press and hold (approx. 30 secs) against the mounting surface to allow the adhes-
ive to form a bond.
3. Plug the doorbell receiver into a standard mains socket within range of the transmitter.

The wireless doorbell system is ready for use.
8 Operation
8.1 Pairing
The products have already been paired at the factory.
Perform the pairing process if you need to replace a transmitter or pair multiple transmitters /
receivers.
Notes:
1x transmitter can be paired with an unlimited number of (in range) receivers.
1x receiver can be paired with up to 8x transmitters.
Preconditions:

The transmitter and receiver (receivers) are within range and the power is on.
