Fault/Remedy

− Wipe the scale as needed with a slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid contact with
citric acid.
− You can clean the measuring cup in soap water or in the dishwasher. Do not
dry clean the measuring cup. The printed scale marks can be removed
unintentionally by excessive rubbing. Do not clean the measuring cup and
scale marks with aggressive cleaning agents, abrasives or microfibre cloths.

Possible cause
‚ Is the battery empty or inserted
improperly?
‚ Is the scale located on a firm, even surface?
‚ Is a device that can cause electromagnetic
disturbances located in the vicinity of
the scale?
‚ Remove the battery from the scale and wait
a moment. Reinsert the battery.
‚ Is the measuring cup correctly placed
and locked?
‚ The maximum capacity of the scale (3 kg)
has been exceeded.
‚ The battery is empty (see "Inserting/
changing the battery").
