Faulty bank notes are detected by means of UV light.

This function detects magnetic ink on the bank notes.

This validation function is always active when the
value count and sorting functions are on.
Strong magnetic fields can affect the sensor and falsify
results.
Infrared (NC 560, 570)
This function detects counterfeit bank notes using infra
red light.
Metallic strips (NC 560, 570)
This function monitors the metallic strips in the bank
notes.
This function is always active with the value count
function.
Operation
Switching the Bank Note Counter On/Off
The bank note counter is switched on and off using a
switch on the rear of the machine.

After switching the machine on, it performs a self-dia
gnosis. During the self-diagnosis,
pears in the display [5]/[15]. When the self-diagnosis
has finished without any errors,

play [4]/[14] (refer to Error Table).
If the machine will not be used for a longer period,
disconnect it from the power outlet.

notes in the machine.
Preparing Bank Notes
Pay attention to the following points to prevent malfunc
tions.

Æ Check the bundle of bank notes for paper clippings, pa
per clips, rubber bands and other foreign bodies, and
remove them, before inserting the bundle in the machine
(
4-A).
Æ Do not insert any damaged bank notes (
Æ Smooth out any creased and folded bank notes before
inserting them (
Æ Do not attempt to count notes which are too thick or
hard items.
Æ Fan out the bank notes to separate them prior to inserti
on.
