Description
The AOB Torso Brace, the AOB closure
and the AOB reclination support are semi-
finished parts for the fabrication of torso
orthoses. For every patient, each com-
ponent has to be selected and adjusted
individually by the orthopedic technician
according to the doctor's specifications.
The AOB Torso Brace comes as an anato-
mically pre-shaped blank shape made of
LDPE (thickness: 3mm). The AOB closure
is fully prefabricated. 6 blind rivets, which
can be used to attach the closure to
the AOB Torso Brace, are included in the
delivery. The AOB reclination supports are
made of pre-shaped aluminum bars which
can be adjusted in angle and feature a
padded panel. A leather strap, which can
be used to connect the two panels, is also
part of the delivery. If donned correctly,
the orthosis exerts pressure onto the
abdomen and stabilizes the spine. If the
reclination supports are added, both incli-
nation and rotation can be limited.
