Attaching the AOB Reclination Support
To effectively limit inclination and rotation
of the spine, the reclination supports have
to be installed. The supports have to be
adjusted individually to the patient while
the patient is wearing the orthosis. When
the patient's upper body is positioned up-
right, the panels should ligthly touch the
patient below the clavicula. If necessary,
use bending irons to shape the aluminum
bars and bend the bars at the joints.
Finishing the AOB Torso Orthosis
All sharp edges have to be rounded off
to eliminate any risk of injury. Mask all
rivet heads. If necessary, lightly heat the
edges of the LDPE with a hot air gun (max.
120°C) and flare them/ bend the material
to remove any pressure spots. If necessary,
glue some padding to the inside of the
orthosis. For better ventilation, perforation
may be added (drill: max. Ø5mm). The sta-
bility of the orthosis may not be impaired
by the perforation.
