1.3.2. Removing/installing the battery

Before removing/installing the battery, please ensure the bike is switched off and you have disconnected the charger. Having the bike
flipped upside down or suspended on the air using a bicycle stand makes the removal/installation more convenient.
Step 1. Remove the battery lock
cap, insert the key into battery lock
and turn counter-clockwise.
Step 1. Insert the battery into the
down tube. Ensure the lock is facing
the bottom bracket
Step 2. With one hand's thumb and the folded middle
finger holding the key to keep it in the unlocked
position, use the Allen Key (or any tool with a small
surface) with the other hand to press inside the spring
pin located at the bottom of the down tube.
Step 2. Press the spring pin so the battery can lock into the correct position. Check the battery is
firmly in place by making sure that there is no gap between the frame and the battery and that
the battery cannot be removed by pulling the battery cap lever.
Step 3. With your index finger
holding the handle, pull the battery
out of the frame.
Attention: Dropping the battery into
the down tube will break the
charging connector.
Attention: Always ensure you
remove the key before riding.
