2.6. Gates Carbon Drive System:
Gates User Manual
When delivered, the belt is optimally tensioned but may need
to be re-tensioned after prolonged use or removal of the rear
wheel. Correctly mounted, the belt is extremely resilient in the
pulling direction. The carbon fibers embedded in the belt are
very flexible but sensitive to the following issues:
Crimping
Twisting
Zip tying
Mounting the tensioned belt
with a lever, and/or by rotating the cranks
Important Information:
Please be aware that use of the Gates Carbon Drive system in ice and snow,
can lead to the teeth of the pulleys becoming clogged. This can lead to the
belt being pushed off of the pulley, or lifted up and ratcheting over it. Both of
these possibilities could reduce the safe operation of the system. For this
reason, the use of the bike in snow and ice should be avoided. The use of the
system in mud should also be avoided for the same reasons.

2.7. Brake System

Your Modmo Saigon+ E-Bike is equipped with hydraulic disc
brakes that will stop you quickly and safely when needed.
Use both brakes simultaneously for safe braking.
2.8. Kickstand's Permitted Load
The kickstand can support a maximum
load of 15kg.
Do not sit on the bike and put your
weight on the kickstand while it is down,
or put any other weight on the bike that
exceeds 15kg while the kickstand is down.
For ideal longevity, only use the kickstand
to support the bike itself.
