Warning: Do not record a reference ECG with incorrectly positioned or transposed electrodes,
or else a correct evaluation of a subsequent control reading is not possible.
Warning: You must renew your reference ECG after every acute event or intervention (e.g.
heart attack, cardioversion in case of arrhythmia of the heart, heart bypass intervention, heart
pace maker implantation, cardiac catheter intervention, heart valve intervention) or when
recommended by your physician.
Warning: Only use the disposable electrodes type as recommended by Personal MedSystems
(P-00S/xx).
Warning: Only use disposable electrodes that are unused, have not expired and are at room
temperature, in order to ensure sufficient signal quality and prevent distorted results.
Warning: Remove all disposable electrodes after a reading from your skin, as prolonged adhe-
sion may cause skin irritation.
Warning: Do not use CardioSecur ACTIVE in case of sensitive skin or allergies. This could
cause rash, irritation of the skin or eczemas.
Warning: Only use the CardioSecur ACTIVE ECG cable as provided by Personal MedSystems.
Warning: Do not use CardioSecur ACTIVE in combination with external defibrillators. Cardi-
oSecur ACTIVE is not defibrillator proof.
Warning: During use of CardioSecur active, do not connect any other device or computer via
an adapter to your iPhone and/or to the headset jack of your iPhone.
Warning: Do not perform readings in places exposing CardioSecur ACTIVE to high electromag-
netic radiation (e.g. TV-sets, monitors, dish washers).
Warning: Do not expose CardioSecur ACTIVE to any electrostatics. Discharge any electrostat-
ics out of your body before touching CardioSecur ACTIVE.
Warning: Do not expose CardioSecur ACTIVE to any physical shocks or vibrations. Do not drop
it on the floor or step on it.
Warning: Do not place anything onto CardioSecur ACTIVE or it might get damaged.
Warning: Do not open, take apart or repair CardioSecur ACTIVE. Do not transform CardioSe-
cur ACTIVE. CardioSecur ACTIVE does not contain any parts that need to be maintained by the
user.
Warning: Store and use CardioSecur ACTIVE only under the conditions described under section
Technical Data.
Warning: Do not sterilize CardioSecur ACTIVE in a steam sterilizer (autoclave) or in a gas
sterilizer (ethylene oxide, formaldehyde, ozone etc.)
Warning: Do not use CardioSecur ACTIVE in the vicinity of combustible anaesthetics, drugs or
pressurized oxygen.
Warning: Only use CardioSecur ACTIVE if the ECG cable has no apparent damage.
