Alphanumeric keys
Using these keys you can type in the information or your selections.
In TX mode, press the desired key to send the DTMF code

Basic Operations:
Power / volume button
Turn the Power/volume button clockwise to turn on the device and
anti-clockwise to turn it off. Also turn the knob to adjust the volume to the desired
level.
Transmission and reception
Press the PTT button to transmit, speak in the direction of the microphone. The dis-
play and the LED will light up red. Release the PTT and the radio returns to receive
mode. The display and the LED light up green.
CALL button
Press briefly to switch the FM radio on or off.
Press and hold this button to activate or deactivate the alarm function.
Monitor button
Briefly press the MON side button to turn on the flashlight.
Pressing it again will cause the flashlight to flash stroboscopically.
Press MON for the third time to turn it off.
The Monitor function is activated by keeping the button pressed.
Scan function
Briefly press the SCAN key to activate the Reverse function RX/TX. Press SCAN for
more than 2 seconds: scanning will be activated channel or frequency.
In FM radio mode, press this button to automatically search for the
FM stations. In CTCSS/DCS mode, this button allows you to scan CTCSS/DCS tones.

Pressing this button for more than 2 activates or deactivates the keyboard lock.
