GETTING READY TO DRILL
Using the included Stop Collar and drill bit, you are
1
now ready to set your drilling depth. The Storage Drawer
has four built-in depth settings for the drill bit. Rest the
drill bit into the built-in depth setting slot and align the
step of the drill bit with the matching board thickness you
are planning to drill. (See FIG. 1)
Assure the step of the bit is aligned to the
i
recess and not the pilot tip.
The inside of the drawer is marked with both
i
Imperial and Metric measurements.
Slide the Stop Collar onto the shank side of the bit and

rest it in the Stop Collar recess (see FIG. 2a), up against
the drawer, and tighten the Stop Collar using the Hex Key
(see FIG. 2b).
With your work piece in-between the Drill Blocks and

clamp pad. Press the clamp handle down to secure your
work piece.
Never attempt to drill a hole without making
sure the jig is completely secured.

À l'aide du collier d'arrêt et du foret inclus, vous êtes

maintenant prêt à régler la profondeur de perçage.
Le tiroir de rangement dispose de quatre réglages de
profondeur intégrés pour le foret. Placez le foret dans la
fente de réglage de profondeur intégrée et alignez le pas
du foret avec l'épaisseur de planche correspondante que
vous prévoyez de percer. (Voir FIG. 1)
Veillez à ce que le pas du foret soit aligné avec
i
l'encastrement et non avec le bout de pré-trou.
Des mesures impériales et métriques sont
i
inscrites à l'intérieur du tiroir.
Faites glisser le collet de butée sur le côté de la tige de

l'embout et faites-le reposer dans l'encastrement de celui-
ci (voir FIG. 2a), en haut contre le tiroir, puis serrez le collet
de butée à l'aide de la clé hexagonale (voir FIG. 2b).
Insérez votre pièce à usiner entre les supports de

perçage et le tampon du serre-joint. Appuyez sur la
poignée du serre-joint pour fixer votre pièce à usiner.
Ne jamais tenter de percer un trou sans vous
assurer que la structure est bien fixée.

PREPARACIÓN PARA PERFORAR
Con el collar de tope y la broca incluidos, ahora está

listo para establecer la profundidad de perforación. El
cajón de almacenamiento tiene cuatro configuraciones de
profundidad integradas para la broca. Apoye la broca en
la ranura de ajuste de profundidad incorporada y alinee el
paso de la broca con el grosor de la tabla correspondiente
que planea perforar. (Ver FIG. 1)
Asegúrese de que el escalón de la broca esté

alineado con el hueco y no con la punta piloto.
El interior del cajón está marcado con medidas

imperiales y métricas.
Deslice el anillo de detención sobre el lado del vástago

de la broca y colóquelo en el hueco del anillo de detención
(consulte la Figura 2a), contra el cajón, y apriete el anillo
de detención con la llave hexagonal (consulte la Figura
2b).
IInserte su pieza de trabajo entre las guías para

taladrar y la almohadilla de sujeción. Presione el mango
de la abrazadera hacia abajo para asegurar su pieza de
trabajo.
Nunca intente perforar un agujero sin
asegurarse de que la plantilla está
completamente asegurada.

Zum Einstellen der korrekten Bohrtiefe nehmen

Sie jetzt den Stufenbohrer und Tiefenstopp. In der
Schublade sind die 4 Einstellmöglichkeiten, je nach
Brettstärke. Legen Sie den Bohrer, so wie in Abb. 1
gezeigt, in die Schublade ein, daß die Stufenkante mit
der entsprechenden Markierung für die Brettstärke
übereinstimmt.
Zum Einstellen immer die Stufenkante nehmen,
i
nicht die Bohrerspitze.
Die Einstellmöglichkeiten in der Schublade
i
sind sowohl metrisch als auch in Zoll
angezeigt.
Stecken Sie jetzt den Tiefenstopp auf den Bohrerschaft,
2
wie in Abb. 2a gezeigt. Mit dem Inbusschlüssel ziehen Sie
nun die Stellschraube fest (siehe Abb. 2b).
Spannen Sie jetzt das Brett im PocketJig400™ fest .
