Important notes on the temperature probes
• Always wear a heat-resistant glove when touching the stainless steel probes or the heat-resistant wire during or
shortly after grilling or cooking.
• Always remove the black protective caps from the tips of the probes before use.
• Always keep the probes and wire away from children.
• The probes are intended for measuring the temperature of meat, fish and poultry, and with the retaining clip for
the cooking chamber temperature in the grill/oven. Do not use the thermometer for a measurement in the micro-
wave oven.
• To measure the cooking chamber temperature in the grill/oven, attach the retaining clip to the grill and insert a
probe through the round openings in the retaining clip.
• Do not immerse the probe cables or the plugs in water. Moisture in the probe plug or thermometer plug can cause
an incorrect temperature reading. Always wipe the probe connector before inserting it into the transmitter.
