SEND / RETURN
Alcuni preamplificatori offrono la possibilità di collegare
processori esterni in serie, altri in parallelo, altri in entrambi i
modi. In serie significa "uno dopo l'altro": il segnale esce dal Pre
ed entra nell'effetto, viene totalmente processato, esce e va nel
finale. In parallelo significa "uno accanto all'altro": il segnale
viene sdoppiato, una parte va diritta al finale e l'altra all'unità
effettistica, prima di arrivare al finale.
Il BUFFER a fet è una novità tecnica introdotta sul loop
effetti che permette di poter sfruttare oltre ai noti effetti
digitali (bassa/media impedenza), anche effetti a pedale
(alta impedenza) fino ad oggi utilizzati in linea chitarra-
ampli (pre-pre amp).
Parallelo:
il Send/Return parallelo divide in due il segnale del
pre-amp, trattiene quello diretto all'amplificatore e attraverso il
Send ne invia uno "parallelo" al processore esterno. Questo,
dopo averlo elaborato, lo rispedisce nel Return dove viene
mixato da un apposito controllo (mix, effect, ecc.) con quello
originale. Importante: è necessario far ritornare nel
preamplificatore il solo segnale effettato. Sul processore
esterno azzeriamo il segnale diretto (Dry) e portiamo al
massimo il valore di effetto ( il bilanciamento deve avvenire
all'interno del preamplificatore, solitamente tramite un
potenziometro). Qui è già presente un segnale Dry ed è inutile
farne arrivare un altro. Consigliato per Delay, Riverberi,
Chorus, Flanger, Pitch Transposer...
Serie:
il Send/Return in serie invia l'intero segnale del
preamplificatore al processore esterno. Da qui, dopo essere
stato integralmente processato, rientra. A differenza del
sistema parallelo, il bilanciamento Dry/Effect avviene nel
processore esterno. É li che si decide la porzione di suono
originale da processare. Consigliato per distorsori,
compressori, limiter, equalizzatori grafici e parametrici, ecc.
Ilmixdell'effetto avviene tramite il comando EFFECT (7).

Some preamplifiers offer the possibility to connect external
processors in series, others in parallel m others on both ways.
In series means "one after another". the signal outgoes from the
Pre and enters in the effect, it is totally processed, outgoes and
enters to the final. In parallel means "one aside another". the
signal is split, a part goes straight to the final and the other goes
to the effects unit, before arriving to the final.
The fet BUFFER is a technical innovation introduced on the
effects loop that allows to exploit beside the known digital
effects (low/medium impedance), also pedal effects (high
impedance) up to today used in guitar-amp line (pre-pre
amp).
Parallel:
the Send/Return parallel splits the pre-amp signal in
two, it withholds the one directed to the amplifier and through
the Send sends a "parallel" one to the external processor. This,
after having elaborated it, sends it back to the Return where it is
mixed by a proper control (mix, effect, etc) to the original one.
Important: it is necessary to let only the effected signal return to
the preamplifier. On the external processor we rest the direct
(Dry) signal and take the effect volume to the max (the
unbalancing should occur inside the preamplifier, usually by a
potentiometer). A Dry signal is already present and it is useless
to make another arrive. Recommended for Delay, Riverberi,
Chorus, Flanger, Pitch Transposer...
Series:
the Send/Return in series sends the whole preamplifier
signal to the external processor. From here, after having been
totally processed, re-enters. Differently than the parallel
system, the Dry/Effect balancing is made in the external
processor. There the portion of original sound to process is
decided. Suggested for distortions, compressors, limiters,
graphical and parametric equalizers, etc.
The mix of the effect occurs by the EFFECT (7) control.
