Note:
If the LAYER or SPLIT function is activated, press the [SOUND] key several times to switch
to the selection of the sound for LAYER or SPLIT. The display shows respectively R1 for the
standard sound, R2 for the sound of the layer function, or L for the sound in split mode.

Layer

The Layer function allows you to play two sounds at the same time.
First, select the desired main voice as described in Select Sound.
Now press the [LAYER] key to activate the Layer function. The display shows "SOUND R2",
the number and the name of the Layer sound.
Use the number keys or the [+]/[-] keys to select the desired second sound.
Press the [LAYER] key again to exit the Layer function.

Split

The split function allows you to select different sounds for the right and left sections of the
keyboard. In this case, the split sound is assigned to the left section.
First, select the desired main voice as described in Select Sound.
Now press the [SPLIT] key to activate the split function.
The display shows the name and number of the left sound and the information "SOUND L"
and "SPLIT".
Use the number keys or the [+]/[-] keys to select the desired sound for the left keyboard area.
Press the [SPLIT] key again to exit the split function.

Split point

The point on the keyboard that separates the left and right halves of the keyboard is called
the "split point". The default split point is at the note F#3 (19). In the function menu you can
move the position of the split point.

Sustain

Use the [SUSTAIN] key to switch on the sustain function. Now all played notes sound longer.
End this function by pressing the [SUSTAIN] key again.
Note:
By using an optional sustain pedal, you can control this function with your foot, just like the
real piano.
