Bitte lesen Sie die vorliegende Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch. Bei
Fragen wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Fachhandel von dem Sie dieses
Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um eine textile Orthese zur
Sicherung und Beeinflussung des Patellagleitweges. Durch das einstellbare
Zugelement und die seitlichen Gelenkschienen kann eine Korrektur und
Entlastung der Kniescheibe erreicht werden.
Indikationen
Patellahochstand, Patellalateralisation, Femoropatellares Schmerzsyndrom,
Patella-Luxation oder -Subluxation in Kombination mit Seitenbandinstabilität,
postoperativ.
Kontraindikationen
Thrombosegefahr, hochgradige Varikosis, periphere arterielle
Verschlusskrankheit (PAVK), Lymphabflussstörungen auch unklare
Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des angelegten Hilfsmittels, Empfindungs-
und Durchblutungsstörungen der versorgten Körperregion, Erkrankungen der
Haut im versorgten Körperabschnitt, Latexallergie.
Anwendungsrisiken / Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Medizinprodukt vor radiologischen Untersuchungen ablegen
– bei längeren Ruhephasen ablegen z. B. beim Schlafen
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung eines Patienten
bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Bandage: keine lokale Anwendung von Cremes
oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material zerstören
Anziehanleitung
Legen Sie das Hilfsmittel möglichst im Sitzen an, und öffnen Sie alle
Klettverschlüsse zu Beginn.

Streifen Sie die Orthese über die Fußspitze, und ziehen Sie diese
anschließend bis zum Knie hinauf. Positionieren Sie die BORT Asymmetric
Plus so am Kniegelenk, dass die Kniescheibe (Patella) von dem Silikonhalbring
seitlich gestützt wird.

Schließen Sie nun die zirkulär umlaufenden Zuggurte am Ober- und
Unterschenkel.

Lösen Sie nun den kleinen Klettverschluss über der Patella, ziehen ihn
unter leichtem Zug zur Innenseite des Beines und kletten ihn wieder auf
der Klettfläche der Orthese fest.

Intended purpose
This medical device is a textile support for securing and influencing facilitating
movement of the patella. The adjustable tension element and side joint splints
can achieve correction and relief of the kneecap.
Indications
High riding patella, patella lateralisation, patellofemoral pain syndrome,
patellar luxation or subluxation combined with lateral ligament instability,
post-operative.
Contraindications
Thrombosis risk, extreme varicosis, peripheral arterial occlusive disease
(PAOD), lymph drainage disorders, also unclear soft tissue swellings distal to
the aid positioned, sensory and circulatory disorders of the region of the body
treated, skin diseases in the part of the body treated, latex allergy.
Application risks/Important notes
This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received the
medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding its use.
– remove the medical device prior to radiological examinations
– remove it during longer periods of rest, e.g. when sleeping
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient
– whilst wearing the support, please neither use any creams nor ointments on
or around it as they can destroy the material
Fitting instructions
It's best to put the aid on when sitting and open all the Velcro fasteners first.

Slip the support over the forward section of the foot and then pull it up
to the knee. Position the BORT Asymmetric Plus on the knee joint so that
the kneecap (patella) is supported at the side by the silicone half-ring.

Then, close the circumferential harnesses on the thigh and lower leg.

Following this, loosen the small Velcro fastener above the patella, pull
it to the inside leg under slight tension and re-attach in to the Velcro
surface on the support.

Ablegen
Zum Ablegen der Orthese die Verschlussbänder öffnen und den
Korrekturzügel lösen, die Orthese am unteren Rand seitlich an den
Gelenkschienen fassen, und nach unten über den Fuß ziehen. Schließen Sie
die Klettverschlüsse, um Beschädigungen z. B. an anderen Kleidungsstücken
zu vermeiden.
Materialzusammensetzung
Polyamid (PA), Elastodien / Latex (LA), Viscose (CV)
Die genaue Materialzusammensetzung entnehmen Sie bitte dem eingenähten
Textiletikett.
Das Produkt enthält Latex und kann allergische Reaktionen auslösen.
Reinigungshinweise
Schonwaschgang 30 °C
trocknen Nicht bügeln
Keinen Weichspüler verwenden. In Form ziehen und an der Luft trocknen.
Vor dem Waschen die seitlichen Gelenkschienen entnehmen und
Klettverschlüsse schließen, um Beschädigung anderer Wäschestücke zu
vermeiden.
Gewährleistung
Für das erworbene Produkt gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des
Landes, in dem Sie das Produkt bezogen haben. Bitte wenden Sie sich
an Ihren Fachhandel, sollten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall vermuten.
Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie
eigenmächtig vorgenommenen Änderungen am Produkt.
Nutzungsdauer / Lebensdauer des Produkts
Die Lebensdauer des Medizinprodukts wird durch den natürlichen Verschleiß
bei sach- und anwendungsgemäßem Umgang bestimmt.
Meldepflicht
Kommt es bei der Anwendung des Medizinproduktes zu einer
schwerwiegenden Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes, dann
melden Sie dies Ihrem Fachhändler oder uns als Hersteller sowie dem BfArM
(Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte).

Removal
To remove the support, open the fastening straps and loosen the correction
restraint, grasp the lower edge of the support on the splints and pull it
downwards over the foot. Close all the Velcro fasteners in order to avoid
damaging other items, e.g. to further clothing.
Material composition
Polyamide (PA), elastodiene/latex (LA), viscose (CV)
The sewn in textile label provides the precise material composition.
The product contains latex and can trigger allergic reactions.
Cleaning information
Delicate wash 30 °C
Do not iron Do not clean chemically
Do not use fabric conditioner. Stretch back into shape and dry in the fresh air.
Remove the side joint splints and close the Velcro fasteners before washing,
in order to avoid damaging other items of clothing.
Guarantee
The legal regulations of the country in which you acquired the product apply
to the purchased product. Please contact your specialist retailer if you suspect
a warranty claim. Please clean the product before submitting a warranty
claim. If the enclosed instructions for use have not been properly observed,
the warranty may be impaired or cancelled. The warranty does not cover use
of the product inappropriate for the indication, non-observance of application
risks, instructions and unauthorised modifications to the product.
Useful life/Lifetime of the product
The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.
Duty of notification
If a serious worsening of the state of health occurs when using the
medical device, you are obliged to notify the specialist dealer or us as the
manufacturer and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency
(MHRA).

Disposal

Utilisation prévue
Ce dispositif médical est une orthèse textile chargée de protéger et d'influencer
le glissement de la rotule. L'élément de traction réglable et les attelles articulées
latérales permettent de corriger le mouvement de la rotule et de la soulager.
Indications
Position haute de la rotule, latéralisation de la rotule, syndrome de douleur
fémoro-patellaire, luxation ou subluxation de la rotule en combinaison avec
une instabilité du ligament latéral, post-opératoire.
