6.1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

None intervention is authorized inside the casing.
The instrument must be used according to the instructions of this manual.
The plug of the mains cord being used as the switch off device, the instrument
must be connected to a socket easily accessible, which has an earth connection.
When this instrument has to be powered using a separated autotransformer
to get a voltage reduction, make sure that the common terminal is connected
to the pole earthed of the feeding circuit.
The common mode voltage between Earth and output terminals shall not
exceed 50V rms. As from 30V, a voltage judged dangerous (>60V =) can be
reached between one of the output terminals and earth. In these cases, it is
necessary to use safety cords for the connection to the instrument's outputs.
Moreover, the instruments connected mustn't have conductive parts accessible.
6.1.1 Description of thE instrument's rear panel
A: MAINS RECEPTACLE
B: T4A FUSE
The fuse (5 x 20mm T4A) can be replaced by a
fuse of same type and features.
6.2 CONTROLS
6.2.1 Controls description of the front panel
(1)
VOLTAGE REGULATION CONTROL. The lighting green Led shows that
the power-supply works in voltage regulation.
(2)
VOLTAGE DISPLAY. Allows to read the voltage from 0 to 30V with a 100mV
resolution.
(3)
VOLTAGE ADJUSTMENT. Allows the adjustment of a voltage between 0
and 30V.
(4)
«ON-OFF» SWITCH. The "O" indicates the position of the stop device.
(5)
VOLTAGE FINE ADJUSTMENT. Makes the voltage adjusted by 3 vary of
about 2V.

6.3 BEFORE MEASURING

6.3.1 Use at constant voltage
Set the current at the maximum value. Set the voltage at the value required.
Connect the load on the proper terminals.
Check the voltage regulation : lighting green Led.
6.3.2 Use at constant current
Set the voltage at the maximum value. Select the working current, with the short
circuit and the setting. Connect the load on the proper terminals according to the
mode. Check the current regulation : lighting red Led.
6.3.3 Cautions
Before applying the load, always set the power supply. Connect the load using
isolated cords with sufficient diameter. Disconnect the load before switching off the
power supply. Keep the instrument away from dust.
disconnecting of the earth terminal may render the instrument dangerous.
The intentional interruption is forbidden.
