3.2 Function description

Inside the box, the PV string cables are fed from the input
to the output terminal via a motorised DC switch discon-
nector. Up to two PV string cables are combined on one
output.
The integrated electronics with energy storage enable the
"Fireman switch" function: if the 100 - 230 V AC supply volt-
age is interrupted for more than 5 seconds, the integrated
motor automatically turns the switch to the off position. This
safely disconnects the connection between the PV mod-
ules and the inverter. The 100 - 230 V AC supply can be
interrupted using an additional switch, by deactivating the
fuses in the sub-distribution or by shutting down the build-
ing connection.
Once the 100 - 230 V AC supply voltage is restored for
more than 5 seconds, the integrated motor automatically
moves the switch to the on position.
The motorised DC switch-disconnector also switches to the
off position in the following situations:
– The temperature in the enclosure exceeds 100 °C
– Defect in the electronics
