Intended Use

We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter
„Description and Function" or in the „Safety Instructions". Use the product only in
dry interior rooms� Not attending to these regulations and safety instructions
might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons and property.
IP20: This product is protected against medium sized foreign objects, but not against wa-
ter ingress�

1� Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.
2� Compare the specifications of all used devices and ensure compatibility.

Installation

5.1 Selecting the installation location and drilling a hole

1� Select a suitable installation location for the USB charger�
The installation location should be stable and easily accessible. There must be sufficient
space to the rear and around the USB charger. The installation of the USB charger must
not impair or damage the functions and elements of the motor vehicle.
The installation location must be chosen so that the locking ring and rubber ring can be
tightened after the USB charger has been inserted. In addition, pay attention to the length
of the cable (150 mm).
Alternatively, the cable can also be extended. In this case, the cable diameter of 1.0 mm²
must be maintained.
2� Mark the centre of the hole�
3� Using a step drill or a hole saw, for example, carefully drill a hole with a diameter of
approx. 28 mm at the marked point.
4� Remove the locking ring and rubber ring from the USB charger�
5� Insert the USB charger to test the fit.
If the USB charger fits well and all conditions for the installation location have been met,
you can continue with the electrical connection.

5.2 Electrical connection

DANGER! Risk of injury due to improper installation!
Improper execution of electrical connections in the vehicle can lead to considerable danger.
• Work on the on-board electrical system may only be carried out by trained specia-
lists!
There are various ways of connecting the USB charger to the vehicle electrical system, for
example via a fuse box or distribution box inside the vehicle.
If you want to tap the current from an existing fuse, select a fuse to which no safety-rele-
vant consumers are connected�
The USB charger can be connected to a circuit that only carries current when the ignition
is switched on� Alternatively, you can connect the USB charger so that a charging current
is permanently provided. If you choose the second option, be aware that the vehicle bat-
