▪ Clean the appliance, components and accessories before using them for the first time and after any
prolonged period of storage, as described in the "Cleaning and care" section.
▪ Read the operating instructions carefully, keep them in a safe place and pass them on to subse-
quent users together with the appliance.
▪ Observe the safety instructions and the warranty information that is enclosed separately.
Additional safety information
Observe the following points:
▪ The appliance should be only connected to properly installed earthed wall sockets. Keep the power
cord and plug dry at all times.
▪ The appliance must be supplied through a residual current device with a rated differential current
of max. 30 mA. It is recommended that you inspect the power cord regularly for possible damage.
▪ Place the appliance on a level and firm surface and ensure there is sufficient space of at least 20
cm all the way around the appliance.
▪ If an extension cable is used, this must be unwound fully in order to prevent overheating of the
power cord.
▪ Before connecting and disconnecting the power cord, you must make sure that the minimum
temperature is set
.
▪ If the appliance is used incorrectly and before cleaning, pull out the mains plug and leave the
appliance to cool down as described in the section "Cleaning and care".
▪ When the appliance is not in use, you must store it in a dry location to protect it.
▪ We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging.
Avoid the following points:
▪ To protect against electric shocks, the cable, plug or appliance body must not be immersed in water
or in other liquids. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
▪ Do not leave the cable hanging over edges of tables or counters.
▪ Do not position the appliance and its cable near surfaces that can get hot (hot plate, gas burner,
stove/oven etc.).
▪ Attention: Do not insert any aluminum foil or other materials or objects between the grill surface
and the casing (ventilation area).
▪ Under no circumstances must you cover the ventilation slots on the frame of the appliance.
▪ The appliance must not be cleaned with a high-pressure or low-pressure water jet.
▪ Do not use any chlorine-based products to clean the stainless steel surfaces.
