USE

Please Note!
■
Do not connect the device to a
computer because the computer
might be damaged by the high
charging current.
■
Only connect the USB mains adapter
to a plug socket that is properly
installed and matches the technical
data of the device.
■
The water in the water tank needs to
be changed daily and the fi lter and
the fi lter compartment regularly needs
to be cleaned thoroughly in order
to prevent the formation of harmful
microorganisms.
1. Prepare the device (see the
"Preparation" chapter).
2. Place the device with clearance of at
least 30 cm above it and to all sides
on a dry, even, solid and moisture-
resistant surface.
3. Plug the Micro-B connector of the
USB cable into the connecting
socket (1) on the back of the device.
4. Connect the USB-A connector to a
USB mains adapter and connect this
to an easily accessible plug socket.
5. Switch on the device and adjust
it as required (see the "Operating
Elements and Functions" chapter).
6. If necessary, move the ventilation
grille (9) up or down manually to
adjust the fl ow of air.
7. If the device is no longer going to be
used, switch off the device and pull
the USB mains adapter out of the
plug socket.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Please Note!
■
No liquid must get into the device
(with the exception of the water tank).
Never immerse the device in water!
■
Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents or cleaning pads to
clean the device. These may damage
the surfaces.
• Make sure that the device is not
connected to the mains power.
• Wipe down the housing (3) with a soft,
damp cloth. Remove more stubborn
dirt with a little detergent.
• Clean the fi lter (7) regularly, at least
once a week under running water.
• If the device is not going to be used
for a prolonged period and before
storing it away, remove any remaining
water from the water tank (12) and
dry the fi lter. To do this, fl ip open the
water tank lid (2) and pour the water
out of the water tank. Then allow the
device to run on the highest speed
level for at least 2 hours to dry the
fi lter and the inside of the device.
• Store the device in a clean, dry place
which is protected from dust and
is out of the reach of children and
animals when it is not in use.
