Specific information

► The cover and the door are equipped with a safety function. Operation without a cover and/or door
is prohibited.

► Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
► Do not touch moving parts or heated elements. This can cause injury.
► Never reach into the unit while the unit is switched on during printing. Various parts of the ma-
chine (primarily the extruder and heated print bed) operate at very high temperatures and can
cause severe burns.
► Before maintenance work, ensure that the unit is switched off and the power cord is disconnected
from the mains power supply. After disconnecting the power plug, wait at least 5 minutes for the
unit to cool before reaching into the printer for maintenance purposes.
► Always turn off the printer and disconnect it from the computer when not in use.
► The SIMPLEX 3D filament printer melts plastic filament during printing. Plastic odors/gases are
released during printing. Ensure that the SIMPLEX 3D filament printer is placed in a well-ventilated
location.
► Use SIMPLEX filaments, as they do not result in any gases during printing that are harmful to
health.
► SIMPLEX-filamente are not suitable for the application in the patients mouth
► If using alternative filaments, ensure that no gases are released during printing that are harmful to
health. Observe the Safety Data Sheets.
► When using filaments which are medical products, the used parameters must be coordinated with
the manufacturer.
► This equipment is not suitable for use in locations where children may be present.
2.6 Authorized persons
The unit may
• only be used, cleaned and maintained by persons who have been instructed in its use and who have
been expressly assigned to operate it,
• only be operated under supervision,
• not be used by children,
• not be used by persons who are unable to operate the unit safely due to limited physical, sensory, or
mental capabilities�
Any repairs not described in these operating instructions may only be performed by a qualified electrician.
2.7 Disclaimer
Renfert GmbH shall be absolved from all claims for damages or warranty if:
► The product is employed for any purposes other than those specified in the operating instruc-
tions.
► The product is altered in any way other than those alterations described in the operating instruc-
tions.
► The product is not repaired by an authorized dealer or if original Renfert spare parts are not used.
► The product continues to be used despite obvious safety defects or damage.
► The product is subjected to mechanical impact or is dropped.
