Fast action clamps – to avoid the work piece sliding it ought to be clam-
ped to the table. Nobex fast action clamp can be mounted in two positions
to hold the work piece securely. By repeated movement of the red tightener
against the table, the fast action clamp stretches. To loosen the fast action
clamp, move it in direction away from the table. To change the position of
the fast action clamp, loosen it and pull out the loop. (Picture C, D & E)
Champion 180 and Royal 125 comes with two fast action clamps and Proman
110 with one fast action clamp.
Material support/Length stop – Makes cutting of longer work pieces easy
and more accurate.
When cutting pieces with a constant length the accuracy will be improved by
using the integral adjustable length stop. The length stop is assembled
through the table and is easily operated by releasing the knob and pulling it
out to the required length. It can be used from either end of the saw table. By
placing the stop lug in the holes in the vertical face, it will work as a material
support. Optional 1 100 mm length stop-rod is available. (Picture F & G)
Automatic saw suspension – The mitre saw is equipped with a very useful
saw suspension that automatically holds the saw in its upper position when
adjusting the work-piece. To activate the suspension, move the saw to its
forward end position when it's lifted. To release it, move the saw to its back-
ward end position. (Picture H)
Depth-stop – for a pre-set cutting depth (not on Proman 110). (Picture I)
Parallel parking – is very useful for storage and transport. Lift the saw
from the uprights. Turn the pivoted arm to its right end position. Put the
handle side blade guide on the thickest upright and the other guide on the
tap on the left corner of the table. The saw frame can be tightened to the
table with a leaf spring and the saw can then be carried using the saw
frame. When not using the leaf spring, it can be parked in the clamp bracket.

Operating Instr uctions
A smooth cutting action is achieved if the saw is positioned on a stable
work surface and this will prevent irritating vibrations. The saw can be
fastened by a clamp or by screwing it onto a board.
Place the work-piece on the table so that the saw teeth will cut into the
side which will remain visible. This will ensure a perfect joint.
Right-handed people should feed the work-piece from left to right.
Clamp the work-piece to the table and ensure that it lies firmly against
the vertical wall and the horizontal surface (see instructions for the fast
action clamp).
Start cutting the right end of the work-piece (if right handed).
Measure the length carefully. Use a tape measure that covers the whole
length of the work-piece.
When not using the length stop, mark the desired length on the work-
piece with a sharp pencil on the edge that will be turned upwards and
towards the back wall. Adjust the position of the mark over the index on
the base. (Picture L)
When cutting inner skirting and corner mouldings, use a plus tolerance
of 0.5 to 1 mm of the measured wall length.
Remove saw dust from the sawn surface and use a trimming knife for remo-
ving the saw whiskers from the back edge of the work-piece. (Picture M)
