Cleaning the appliance
The surfaces highlighted in hatched lines can
be cleaned with running water.
All other surfaces inside the appliance may be
cleaned using a damp soft cloth.

Ensure that the water tank has been cor-
rectly inserted in the appliance.
Water must not be allowed to enter the
ventilation grille, lights or electronics.
While the appliance is in operation and
when pumping out the appliance, always ensu-
re that both filters have been inserted!
The appliance must be cleaned at least
every eight weeks.
The inlet filter must be rinsed carefully at
least every four weeks and the backflow filter
at least every two weeks. In addition, both fil-
ters should be replaced with new ones at least
every three months.
Only use conventional washing-up liquid to
clean the interior of the Plantcube.
Clean the entire appliance, including water
tank, plant drawers, Seedbar holders and cover
sheet. Otherwise, dirt may be transferred from
one component to the others after cleaning.
Ensure that the Seedbar holders and cover
sheet are not subject to tension or pressure in
the dishwasher, otherwise they may warp.
Do not damage or remove the rating plate
at the bottom right-hand side on the inside
of the appliance. This is important for when
contacting customer services.
Ensure that the door is not allowed to close
when the top plant drawer has not been inser-
ted. Risk of flooding!
To clean the appliance, follow the steps in
the app under the heading "Start cleaning
assistant", and take note of the following:
•
Only use clean water to clean the door seal
and then wipe it dry.
•
The Seedbar holders and the cover sheet
(but no other parts of the appliance or ac-
cessories) may be cleaned in the dishwas-
her at up to 50°C.
As an alternative to the cleaning assistant,
follow the procedure below:
1. Remove the plant drawers
Remove any plants from the appliance or
harvest them. Take out harvested Seedbars
together with their holder and dispose of the
Seedbar remains in the compost.
Remove the plant drawers including cover
sheet and Seedbar holders from the appliance.
Ensure that there is no water left in the
plant drawer!
Seedbar holders and cover sheet may be
cleaned in the dishwasher at up to 50°C.
2. Clean the plant drawers
Clean the plant drawers carefully using a clean
cloth or sponge and conventional washing-up
liquid. Then rinse with plenty of water and dry
off, and only reinsert into the appliance once
cleaning is complete.
