WARNING
Possible damage to the vehicle

Always disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before working
on the electrical system of the vehicle to prevent damage to the electrical
system�

On vehicles with an auxiliary battery, this must also be disconnected�

CAUTION
Insufficiently insulated or improperly connected cables can lead to
malfunctions and short circuits in the vehicles electrical system�
Observe the safety instructions and requirements prescribed by the vehicle manufacturer and
local authorities� These take precedence over any (possibly deviating) information in this manual�
Especially when working on the following connections, make sure that all
connections are made properly and that all cables and connections are sufficiently
insulated:
•
+30 (continuous positive, battery positive)
•
+15 (battery plus, switched)
•
+31 (vehicle ground, battery minus)
•
+58 (reversing light)
