use damaged cylinders, cylinder connections, pressure reducer
and pressure lines. Inform your gas supplier immediately.
Protect the gas cylinder during transport, storage and application
from tipping over or falling down by using chains, brackets or
safety belts. Always use the safety belt on the mobile equipment.
Only use argon cylinders which conform to the respective national
safety standards.
The APC 300 may only be operated with argon. Cylinders with
dangerous contents could be connected to the cylinder connection
of the unit. Check the cylinders as to whether they contain argon:
labels must not be damaged or removed.
Argon is heavier than air. If present in air being breathed, the ox-
ygen may be displaced with resulting danger of suffocation. The
symptoms of oxygen deprivation are drowsiness, increasing blood
pressure and breathing difficulties. In an atmopshere of pure ar-
gon, loss of consciousness and suffocation occur immediately and
without warning.
Check that the pressure reducer is firmly attached to the gas cylin-
der. The pressure reducer must not move.
A short hissing noise is audible when opening the cylinder valves
due to argon flowing into the hoses. If this hissing continues after
opening a cylinder for longer than 2 seconds, there is a leak. The
gas cylinder must be immediately reclosed. A unit may not be
used until the leak has been fixed. Make certain that the pressure
lines are tightly connected to the APC 300. The same applies to
the pressure reducer connection to the argon cylinder. Close the
safety valve on the argon cylinder once application is complete.

How to use

The APC 300 must be switched on to change the cylinders.
