applications where personal safety depends on
proper function of the devices.
The CE Marking confirms that our products
conform to the EC Directives 89/336/EEC (EMC)
and the EMC Law.
In our EMC Laboratory, which is accredited by the
DATech for Testing of Electromagnetic Compatibility,
proof has been documented that these Balluff products
meet the EMC requirements of the following harmonized
standards:
- EN 50 081-2 (Emission) and
- EN 50 082-2 (Noise Immunity)
Indicators and displays
Yellow LED
Output function indicator (receiver only): The LED comes
on as soon as the output is active.
Potentiometer 6-turn adjuster
Used for setting the background supression (BGS)
respectively range of the receiver.

Installation
- The installation location must be free of vibration,
dust, poisonous vapors, water, oil and chemicals.
- The sensor may not be installed outdoors and not
next to inductive devices or heat sources.
- The sensor may not be exposed to direct sunlight or
other direct light.
- Max. tightening torque for the screws is 0.5 Nm.
- The max. cable length is 100 m with a conductor
cross-section of 0.3 mm

- Do not route the connection cable parallel to high-
voltage and motor cables.
- Do not exceed a tightening torque on the connector
securing ring of 0.5 Nm.
