If working with a reduced number of strokes for a prolonged
period of time, the machine should be left at a no-load speed
from time to time for a period of 1 to 3 minutes to allow the
motor to cool down.

WORKING ADVICE

Check wood, press boards, building materials, etc. for foreign
objects such as nails, screws or similar, and always use the
correct sawblade.
Switch the machine on and guide it toward the workpiece.
Position the footplate 2 onto the surface of the work and saw
through the material applying uniform contact pressure and
feed. After completing the working procedure, switch the
machine off.
If the saw blade should jam, switch the machine off
immediately. Widen the gap somewhat with a suitable tool
and pull out the machine.
Plunge Cutting (pic.5)
WARNING! The plunge cutting procedure is only suitable
for treating soft materials such as wood, plaster board
or similar! Do not work metal materials with the plunge
cutting procedure!
Use only short saw blades for plunge cutting.
Place the machine with the edge of the footplate 2 onto the
workpiece and switch on. For power tools with stroke speed
control, set the maximum stroke speed. Press the power
tool firmly against the workpiece and allow the saw blade to
slowly plunge into the workpiece.
As soon as the footplate 2 fully lays on the surface of the
workpiece, continue sawing alongside the desired cutting
line.
For certain work, the saw blade 1 can also be inserted
turned through by 180° and the sabre saw can be guided
accordingly in a reversed manner.
Flush Cuts
Position the saw blade directly against the wall and apply
some lateral pressure via the tool until the footplate faces
against the wall. Switch the power tool on and saw through
the workpiece, applying constant lateral pressure.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

WARNING! Always unplug the machine before carrying
out work on it.
- Saw blade inspection: Only sharp blades in perfect
condition should be used. Cracked, bent or jagged saw
blades should be immediately replaced.
- Inspect the mounting screws: Regularly inspect all the
mounting screws and ensure they are firmly tightened.
Should any screw be loose, tighten it immediately. Failure to
do so could put you at serious risk.
- Motor maintenance: Always take the greatest care over
this and make sure that the motor winding is not damaged
and/or becomes wet with oil or water.
- Always keep the vents clean and free of obstruction.
- Clean the machine thoroughly after each use. Blast the
motor regularly with compressed air.
- The saw blade retaining lever ("Quick Fix" systems) must
be regularly cleaned, especially when sawing material which
produces large amounts of dust. This will ensure correct
retaining lever operation.
- The saw blade guide should be lubricated now and again
with a drop of oil and, at the same time, checked for wear. If
it is worn, after prolonged use, it should be replaced at the
Felisatti Technical Assistance Centre.
- Check that the mains lead is in good condition. If it is not,
take it to an Official Service Centre to have it replaced.
- Brush replacement: The brushes should be replaced after
80-100 hours use or when they are less than 10 mm long.
Have this done by an Official Service Centre. We recommend
that on every other change of brushes, you take the machine
to one of our Official Service Centres for general cleaning
and oiling.
- Use only Felisatti accessories and spares. The parts the
changing of which is not covered in this instruction manual,
should be replaced in a Felisatti Official Service Centre (See
Warranty/Official Service Centre address leaflet).

long time outer surfaces of powertool exposed to corrosion
should be covered with a protective lubrication.
