Transport
NB: Always remove the PTO shaft before raising the flail mower to the transport
position.
1. Once the flail mower is lifted into the transport position, ensure that the PTO shaft
does not come into contact with the tractor or flail mower. Adjust and set the tractor's
three-point hitch lifting height, so the shaft does not make contact with the cutting
deck when it is in the fully lifted position.
2. Lower the tractor's speed when turning and ensure that there is sufficient space for
the flail mower so that it does not hit obstacles such as buildings, trees and fences.
3. Choose a safe speed when transporting the flail mower from one area to another.
When driving on public roads, ensure that faster-moving vehicles can pass by safely.
4. When driving in rugged or hilly terrain, downshift the tractor to a lower gear.
WARNING
When driving on a public road, no matter whether it is day or night, use lights
and other equipment to alert other road users. Always comply with the
applicable laws and regulations.
Mowing instructions
1. Clear the area to be mowed of objects and refuse that could be hit and ejected by the
flail mower's blades.
2. It is best to mow grass when it is dry. If the grass is wet when it is mowed, it will bunch
up and accumulate behind the flail mower.
3. Grass should be mowed often because short clippings disintegrate faster.
4. If the grass is very tall, it is advisable to raise the mowing height, mow the grass and
then lower the mower to the preferred height and mow the grass once more.
Use
The following checks and inspections must be executed every time the machine is
taken into use:
1. Check the oil level of the gearbox.
2. Check that all plugs in the gearbox are in good condition and properly tightened.
3. Make sure that flails bolts and nuts are tightened.
