Bitte lesen Sie die vorliegende Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch. Bei
Fragen wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Fachhandel von dem Sie dieses
Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um eine Orthese zur Ruhigstellung
des Daumengrund- und Daumensattelgelenks.
Indikationen
Posttraumatisch, postoperativ, z. B. nach Distorsion, Kontusion, Bandläsionen
(Ski-Daumen), Ruhigstellung bei rheumatisch-entzündlichen Prozessen
(Rhizarthrose).
Kontraindikationen
Periphere arterielle Verschlusskrankheit (PAVK), Lymphabflussstörungen
auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des angelegten Hilfsmittels,
Empfindungs- und Durchblutungsstörungen der versorgten Körperregion,
Erkrankungen der Haut im versorgten Körperabschnitt.
Anwendungsrisiken / Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Wichtig: Bitte setzen Sie die SellaFix Daumenorthese keine direkten Hitze
oder Temperaturen über 40 °C aus (z. B. heißes Wasser, Fahrzeuge, Sauna,
Heizung), dies könnte Schädigungen des Materials zur Folge haben.
– Medizinprodukt vor radiologischen Untersuchungen ablegen
– bei längeren Ruhephasen nicht zu fest verschließen z. B. beim Schlafen
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung eines Patienten
bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Orthese: keine lokale Anwendung von Cremes
oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material zerstören
Anziehanleitung
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Korrekturmöglichkeiten der SellaFix
Daumenorthese von Fachpersonal vorgenommen werden sollten. Durch
Erwärmung im Ofen (Wärmeofen, handelsüblicher Backofen) bei 90 °C,
kann die Orthese individuell an die Gegebenheiten des Patienten angepasst
werden. Mit einer Heißluftpistole können bei Bedarf auch kleinere Bereiche
punktuell geformt werden. Ist die SellaFix in die gewünschte Form gebracht,
streifen Sie die Orthese über das Handgelenk und positionieren den Daumen

Intended purpose
This medical device is a brace for immobilisation of the metacarpophalangeal
joint and saddle joint of the thumb.
Indications
Post-traumatic, post-operative conditions, i.e. after sprain, contusion,
ligament lesions (skier's thumb), immobilisation in the case of rheumatic-
inflammatory processes (rhizarthrosis).
Contraindications
Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), lymph drainage disorders,
also unclear soft tissue swellings distal to the aid positioned, sensory and
circulatory disorders with the region of the body treated, skin diseases in the
part of the body treated.
Application risks/Important notes
This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received the
medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding its use.
– Important: Please do not subject the SellaFix thumb brace to direct heat or
temperatures exceeding 40°C (e.g. hot water, vehicles, the sauna, heating)
as this may result in damaging the material
– remove the medical device prior to radiological examinations
– do not close it too tightly during longer periods of rest, e.g. when sleeping
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use – this medical aid is intended for treating one patient
– whilst wearing the brace, please neither use any creams nor ointments on
or around it as they can destroy the material
Fitting instructions
Please observe that the correction options provided for the SellaFix thumb
brace should be made by expert staff. Heat the brace to 90°C in an oven
(heating oven or an ordinary commercial baking oven) to enable individual
forming to fit the patient's circumstances. A heat gun can also be used to
shape isolated, smaller areas if required. Once the SellaFix has been shaped
as desired, slip the brace over the wrist and position the thumb in the thumb

Utilisation prévue
Ce dispositif médical est une orthèse de stabilisation de l'articulation
métacarpo-phalangienne et de l'articulation trapézo-métacarpienne du pouce.
Indications
Post-traumatique, post-opératoire, p. ex. après distorsion, contusion, lésions
ligamentaires (pouce du skieur), immobilisation en cas d'état rhumatismal et
inflammatoire (rhizarthrose).
Contre-indications
Artériopathie oblitérante périphérique (AOP), troubles de la circulation
lymphatique y compris tuméfaction des tissus mous d'origine inconnue de
l'aide posée, troubles de sensation et de la circulation sanguine des régions
corporelles traitées, maladies cutanées sur les zones traitées.
Risques inhérents à l'utilisation/Remarques importantes
Ce dispositif médical est un produit prescrit sur ordonnance. Consultez votre
médecin prescripteur pour en connaître l'utilisation et la durée de port. Le
choix de la taille ainsi qu'une présentation du produit seront réalisés par le
personnel spécialisé qui vous fournira ce dispositif médical.
– Important : ne pas exposer l'orthèse de pouce SellaFix à la chaleur directe
ou à des températures supérieures à 40°C (p. ex. eau chaude, véhicules,
sauna, chauffage). Vous risqueriez d'endommager le matériau
– retirer le dispositif médical avant les examens radiologiques
im Daumenrohr. Schließen Sie nun den zirkulären Verschluss am Daumen und
den Verschluss zwischen Daumen und Zeigefinger. Zum Schluss schließen Sie
den breiten Klettgurt über der Handkante.
Ablegen
Zum Ablegen der Orthese, bitte alle Klettverschlüsse öffnen und die Orthese
abstreifen.

Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie
eigenmächtig vorgenommenen Änderungen am Produkt.
Nutzungsdauer / Lebensdauer des Produkts
Die Lebensdauer des Medizinprodukts wird durch den natürlichen Verschleiß
bei sach- und anwendungsgemäßem Umgang bestimmt.
Meldepflicht
Kommt es bei der Anwendung des Medizinproduktes zu einer
schwerwiegenden Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes, dann
melden Sie dies Ihrem Fachhändler oder uns als Hersteller sowie dem BfArM
(Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte).

Useful life/Lifetime of the product
The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.

If a serious worsening of the state of health occurs when using the medical
device, you are obliged to notify the specialist dealer or us as the manufacturer
and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Instruction d'application
Veillez à ce que les possibilités de correction de l'orthèse de pouce SellaFix
soient réalisées par un spécialiste. Le fait de réchauffer l'orthèse au four à
90°C (four à réchauffer, four classique) permet de l'adapter individuellement
à la morphologie du patient. Avec un pistolet à air chaud, des parties plus
petites peuvent être aussi ponctuellement formées en cas de besoin. Lorsque
vous mettez SellaFix à la forme souhaitée, faites passer l'orthèse par-dessus le
poignet et positionnez le pouce dans l'orifice du pouce. Fermez maintenant la
fermeture circulaire au niveau du pouce, ainsi que la fermeture entre le doigt
et l'index. Enfin, fermez la fermeture Velcro large par-dessus l'arête de la main.
Retirer
Pour retirer l'orthèse, ouvrez toutes les fermetures Velcro et détachez l'orthèse.
