Installation

Purpose
The two manual call points are for manually triggering
alarms in the case of fire. They consist of a cover and a
switching unit. 2 back boxes are available as options for
surface-mounted feed lines.
The FDMH295-S back box has 2 holes on its top with
grommets for cables with a 5 mm diameter.
A protective cover can be optionally used to prevent
unintentional triggering of alarms.
Preparation
If using back box FDMH295-R, you have to determine the
positions of the lead-in openings. If these are at the top or
bottom, you have to define the holes using the drilling
template (Fig. 2 and Fig. 3).
Installation
1. When using the back box, install it at a height of
1.3 ... 1.6 m on a flat surface.
2. If the detector line cables are shielded, connect the
shieldings to a connection terminal (to be ordered
separately). The shieldings must not touch any other
potentials or metal parts in the device.
3. Connect the wires to the connection terminals as shown
in connection diagram, (Fig. 4 and Fig. 5). Connect only
one wire to each terminal.
4. Connect an end-of-line (EOL) to the connection
terminals at the end of the detector line.
5. For FDM1101A-Rx only: If operating with SynoLINE300,
connect an external, control panel-specific alarm
resistor (RA) to the connection terminals. Use a
connecting terminal to do this if required.

6. Remove the cover using the key (Fig. 6, movements A
and B). Keep the key in a safe place.
7. Secure the switching unit to the wall or back box. You
will find the screws you need for the back box in the
switching unit (Fig. 3).
8. Assemble the manual call point (Fig. 3). Be sure to
tension the spring with the plastic insert or glass insert.
9. Cover the symbol depicting a burning building if you are
not using the manual call point as a fire detector.
Testing
1. Insert the key in the detector to cause the insert to
move (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8).
 The detector is triggered.
2. To arm the manual call point, pull out the key again
(Fig. 9).
 The insert is straight and the manual call point has
been set.
Warning!
Manual call points that are out of service must be
provided with a note 'NOT IN USE'!
