• When laying the cable between the display unit and the sensor, protect it against sharp
edges and do not compress or bend it. Secure loose parts of the cable with cable clamps
or cable ties.
• In order to ensure that the air temperature is measured as accurately as possible, the outdoor
sensor must be mounted in a freely accessible location with sufficient air circulation.
• Secure the thermometer in place using a screw (not included) that protrudes a few millimetres
from the wall. Then hang the thermometer on the screw using the hook (6). Handle the
thermometer with care when hanging it on the wall.
Ensure that no existing cables or pipes (including water pipes) are damaged when
drilling mounting holes or securing screws.
• The thermometer can also be placed on a level, stable and sufficiently large surface using
the stand (11). A suitable mat should be used to prevent scratch marks on the surface of
valuable furniture.
• Fold out the stand and place the thermometer on a suitable surface.
Operation
a) Temperature
The current indoor temperature (5) and the maximum and minimum values (7 & 8) are
displayed after inserting the battery into the thermometer. The current outdoor temperature (4)
and the maximum and minimum values (9 & 10) are displayed on the thermometer shortly after
mounting the outdoor sensor.
b) Selecting the temperature unit
To select the temperature unit, press the °C/°F button (3). The unit changes. Pressing the
button again changes it back. You can choose between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
c) Resetting the LCD display
Reset the LCD if it does not display properly. To reset the display, remove the battery. Wait for
a few seconds and then insert it back into the display unit.
d) Displaying and deleting max/min values
• The maximum and minimum values for the indoor and outdoor temperatures are shown
constantly on the display (indoor = 6 & 7, outdoor = 9 & 10). The min (minimum temperature)
and max (maximum temperature) symbols are displayed together with the corresponding
values.
• To delete the saved indoor temperature values, press the IN button (2).
• To delete the saved outdoor temperature values, press the OUT button (1).
Removing and replacing the battery also deletes the saved values and resets the product
(see "Resetting the LCD display").
Care and cleaning
• Before cleaning the product, remove the battery to disconnect the product from the power
supply.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could
damage the casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Clean the outdoor sensor and the sensor cable with a slightly damp cloth.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to
the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove the battery (if applicable) and dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is
prohibited.
Batteries that contain hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the
heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on
(rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
