  • Seite 3 Asus Eee PC 1005HA Hard Drive Replacement Step 1 — Battery Lay the laptop upside down.  Locate the two battery lock tabs.  Step 2 Slide the tabs outward to unlock the battery.  The left tab will remain unlocked, while the right tab must be held.
  • Seite 4 Asus Eee PC 1005HA Hard Drive Replacement Step 3 — Keyboard Use a plastic opening tool to pull out the four metal latches in the battery cavity.  Do not apply too much pressure to the latches. They cannot be removed, and will bend if forced.

  • Seite 9 Asus Eee PC 1005HA Hard Drive Replacement Step 12 Flip up the retaining flaps on each end of the I/O board ribbon cable ZIF connector.  Carefully pull the the I/O board ribbon cable from its sockets.  Remove the two 4.6 mm screws holding the hard drive in place.
