We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Please use a moist, lint-free cloth. Never use alcohol or
solvents!
The protective shield has to be replaced when it is obviously damaged,
so that its function is impaired, e. g. due to cracks or deep scratches!
There are no serviceable parts inside the device except for the lamp. Maintenance and service operations
are only to be carried out by authorized dealers.
Should you need any spare parts, please use genuine parts.
If the power supply cable of this device becomes damaged (cable firmly connected with the device), it has to
be replaced by authorized dealers only in order to avoid hazards.
If the power supply cable of this device becomes damaged (replaceable cable), it has to be replaced by a
special power supply cable available at your dealer.
Should you have further questions, please contact your dealer.

Replacing the lamp

Before replacing the lamp, unplug mains lead and let the lamp cool down (approx. 5 minutes).
During the installation do not touch the glass-bulbs bare-handed! Please follow the lamp manufacturer's
notes!
Do not install lamps with a higher wattage! Lamps with a higher wattage generate temperatures the device
was not designed for. Damages caused by non-observance are not subject to warranty.
For the installation, you need one XOP-15 flash tube with blade receptacle.
During the operation, the lamp reaches temperatures of up to 550° C.
Procedure:
Step 1: Disconnect the fixture from the power supply and allow the capacitor to discharge for 1 minute.
Step 2: When the fixture is cool, remove the two marked screws on the sides of the fixture and open the
front glass cover.
Step 3: Disconnect the lamp wires at the screw terminal. Lift the old lamp out of the holder.
Step 4: Lay the new lamp on the front glass above the lamp clips, the end with 2 wires on the side closest
to the mains cable.
Step 5: IMPORTANT! Connect the two wires with white insulation (electrode wires) to the outside
terminal on each end. Connect the wire with clear insulation (ionization wire) to the inside
terminal on the end closest to the mains cable. Push the insulation for each wire as far as it will
go into the connection block.
Step 6: Lift and turn the lamp over so that the leads loop around the ends as shown, then press the lamp
into the clips.
CAUTION!
DANGER TO LIFE!
Only install the lamp with the device switched off!
Unplug from mains before!
CAUTION!
The lamp has to be replaced when it is damaged
or deformed due to the heat!
