8. OPERATION OF THE SPEAKER

8.1 Charging the battery

Before using the speaker (the first time), the built-in battery must first be charged. For this use the
included micro-USB cable and the USB power supply.
1) Connect the micro-USB connector of the cable to the speaker´s micro-USB port
2) Connect the USB-A plug to the USB power supply unit
3) Plug the USB power supply into a wall outlet
4) The complete charging process takes about 5 hours. The active charging process is indicated by a
red LED. When the battery is fully charged, the LED goes out
5) If the battery level is low, a beep will sound once and the LED blinks red every two seconds

Do not adjust volume too high. Long-term listening to loud volumes may
lead to temporary or permanent hearing damage.

Never use the product in situations requiring listening ability and particular attention
such as active participation in road traffic. Ensure you are always able to hear acoustic
warnings, particularly in locations with increased risk such as construction sites or

account of the Bluetooth technology used. The generated magnetic fields can cause
disturbances in pacemakers and implanted defibrillators.

8.2 Bluetooth connection setup

You can establish a wireless connection between a playback device or PC and the speaker at a dis-
tance of up to 8 meters via Bluetooth. To do this, the playback device must have a Bluetooth function
and this must be switched on.
1) Set the speaker to pairing mode. To do this, first press and hold the power button for about 3
seconds to turn on the speaker, which is confirmed by an acoustic signal and a blue LED light. Then
press and hold the Bluetooth button for about 2 seconds.The red and blue LED flashes alternately to
indicate that the speaker is ready for connection. To cancel pairing mode, press and hold the Power
button again for about 3 seconds to turn off the speaker, which is indicated by a short red LED flashing
before it goes out.
2) Open the Bluetooth settings of your playback device and search for available devices. Make sure
the desired Bluetooth device is not more than one meter away from the speaker. Please also refer
to the operating instructions for your Bluetooth device or contact your manufacturer if you have any
questions.
