Super-Activated Carbon
JBL Carbomec ultra is an activated carbon in pellet form
with extremely high absorbtion capacity. lt is particularly
well suited for the long-term removal of discolouration and
high molecular organic pollutants from saltwateraquariums.
In freshwater aquariums.
JBL Carbomec ultra does not release phosphate into
the water and does not increase the conductivity. JBL
Carbomec ultra is adjusted to pH 8 and therefore ideally
suited for use in the pH range from 7.5 to 8.5.
Use:
Please fill the contents of the polythene bag into the en-
closed universal filter bag and close the filter bag. Rinse
the carbon several times using warm water before finally
rinsing in cold water. Sandwich the fleece bag of carbon
between two layers of JBL Symec in the filter to prevent
unnecessary soiling.
JBL Tip:
JBL Carbomec ultra should only be used for a very short
length of time (max. 2-3 days) to remove residual medica-
tion or other harmful substances in freshwater aquariums.
In freshwater aquariums, JBL Carbomec ultra should not
be permanently used as a filter substance as beneficial
substances such as protective colloids or nutrients found
in modern aquarium fertilizers (JBL Ferropol) will also be
absorbed.
