Safety instructions
Please read the safety instructions carefully, and
familiarise yourself with the stacker truck. The
safety instructions comprise basic guidelines,
notices and warnings that must be observed during
the daily operation of your stacker truck. The
instructions are kept general, and can also be
applied to other stacker truck models.
1.
Personal protective equipment
Direct protection of the body must be ensured by
appropriate personal protective equipment. It can
prevent injuries and accidents, or minimise the
consequences. Always wear personal protective
equipment while operating the stacker truck. Your
personal protective equipment should include the
following:
Appropriate clothing - the clothing must be
snug on the body as not to get caught on
levers, hooks or similar. Jackets must be
buttoned up.
Protective helmet
Safety gloves when working with loads
Protective footwear
Special safety equipment, if required - e.g.
while handling hazardous substances
Ear protection if the permissible sound
pressure level is exceeded
2.
Operate only with a driver
Not everyone in the company is able and
authorised to operate a stacker truck. Only persons
that have been tasked to do so are authorised to
operate a stacker truck. Therefore, never entrust
the equipment to anyone who is not authorised to
operate it.
3.
Drive only for the fulfilment of an order
Never operate a stacker truck without an order to
fulfil. The order must be issued in writing, by the
company or an authorized representative.

Any kind of reproduction, even in parts, is not permitted.
4.
Before starting to operate the stacker truck, the
operator must check the stacker truck for safety
deficiencies. Also during operation, the operator
must ensure that technical safety criteria are met.
Deficiencies that arise must be reported to the
superior without delay. Then wait for further
instructions.
5.
Unlike with a passenger car, pedestrian stacker
trucks are steered via the rear axle. This causes the
rear
manoeuvres. While negotiating curves, centrifugal
forces occur that are acting outward. When
negotiating curves too sharply or too fast, the
centrifugal forces will act outward and the stacker
truck might begin to roll over. Therefore, always
negotiate turns widely and with moderate speeds.
6.
The maximum load depends on the location of the
centre of gravity of the load, how far it is from the
back of the fork, and how high the load must be
lifted. For more detailed information, please refer to
the load capacity chart on the frame of the fork.
7.
control station only
Always operate the stacker truck from the intended
control station only. This allows you to ensure
cautious and swift reaction, and the prevention of
hazards and accidents.
8.
Driving safely requires good visibility. You have the
option to drive forward or in reverse. Always choose
the direction to drive in based on good visibility.
