7) Device-Specifi c Safety Notices
a) Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a
danger of suff ocation from plastic bags and fi lms.
b) If the battery is damaged and used inappropriately, vapours may escape.
Get some fresh air and consult a doctor if you feel unwell. The vapours may
irritate the respiratory passages.
c) Allow the power tool and battery pack to cool down completely before stor-
ing them away. Otherwise, there is a danger of fi re.
d) Never breathe in the air which emerges from the compressor, never place
the adapter / compressed air tube in your mouth, nose or other orifi ces to
prevent injuries.
e) This power tool may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people
with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience
and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on
how to use the power tool safely and have understood the dangers result-
ing from failure to comply with the relevant safety precautions. Otherwise,
there is the risk of incorrect operation and injuries.
f) Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the power tool.
g) Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children. Other-
wise, there is the risk of incorrect operation and injuries.
h) Only ever use the mains adapter that is supplied ( XZ1350-0400W/L).
i) Protect the power tool, battery pack and mains adapter from moisture or
wet conditions. The ingress of water increases the risk of electric shock or may
cause an explosion with batteries.
j) Should the battery pack which is connected to the mains power fall into water,
cut off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the battery pack
out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power! Otherwise, there
is a danger of electric shock.
k) Never touch the battery pack and the mains adapter with wet hands when
these components are connected to the mains power. Otherwise, there is a
danger of electric shock.
l) Do not use a battery or power tool that has been damaged or modifi ed. Dam-
aged or modifi ed batteries may display unpredictable behaviour which may lead
to a fi re, explosion or risk of injury.
m) Do not expose a battery or tool to fi re or high temperatures. Fire or tempera-
tures of over 130°C may cause explosions.
n) Follow all instructions for charging the battery. Only ever charge the battery
or the power tool within the temperature range which is specifi ed in the op-
erating instructions. Inappropriate charging or charging at temperatures outside
the specifi ed range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fi re.
o) Never service damaged batteries. The servicing of batteries should only be
carried out by the manufacturer or authorised service centres.
p) If the colour of the skin changes on the hand with which you are holding the
power tool, stop using it immediately! Persistent use could result in hand-arm
vibration syndrome.
