4) Power Tool Use and Care
a) Do not overload the device. Only use the correct power tool for your ap-
plication. With the right power tool, you will work better and more safely in the
specifi ed power range.
b) Do not use the power tool if its switch is defective. Any power tool that cannot
be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Remove the plug from the plug socket and / or a battery pack from the pow-
er tool before making any adjustments, changing tool bits, or putting the
device to one side. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting
the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children. Do not let people who
are not familiar with the power tool or have not read these instructions use
the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of inexperienced people.
e) Handle power tools with care. Make sure moving parts function perfectly
and do not jam and check whether parts are broken or damaged in such
a way that the function of the power tool is impaired. Have damaged parts
repaired before using the device. Many accidents are caused by poorly main-
tained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions.
Take account of the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use
of power tools for operations diff erent from those intended could result in a haz-
ardous situation.
5) Cordless Tool Use and Care
a) Only charge up the batteries using chargers which are recommended by the
manufacturer. A charger which is suitable for a certain kind of battery presents
a risk of fi re if it is used with other batteries.
b) Only use the batteries which are intended to be used in the power tools. The
use of diff erent batteries may cause injuries and a risk of fi re.
c) Keep the unused battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws
or other small metallic objects which might cause the contacts to be by-
passed. A short circuit between the battery contacts may cause burns or a fi re.
d) If used incorrectly, fl uid may escape from the battery. Avoid contact with
this. Rinse with water if you happen to come into contact with it. If the fl uid
gets into your eyes, you should also seek medical assistance. Escaping bat-
tery fl uid can lead to skin irritations or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool repaired only by a qualifi ed expert using only genuine
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the device is maintained.
