Changing the brushes

2 persons are required for easier handling.
Use an Allen wrench (2.5 mm) to remove the cover of the

service opening on the rear of the machine (Fig. 8).
Person A supports the motor holder from the front by firmly
2.
holding the brushes and prevents the motor holder from falling
onto the rubber mat (Fig. 11).
Person B completely unscrews and removes the 2 left and 2
3.
right nuts of the motor holder with a socket wrench (13 mm)
(Fig. 12).
Person A carefully lowers the motor holder forward into the foot
4.
area and sets it down on the rubber mat (Fig. 13). Attention:
When setting the motor holder down, do not over-extend the
motor cable.
Unscrew the stud screws on the flange of the polishing brush
5.
with an Allen wrench (3 mm) and pull the polishing brush off
from the side.
Unscrew the Allen stud screws of the black pre-cleaning brush
6.
with an Allen wrench (2.5 mm) and pull off the pre-cleaning
brush.
When mounting the replacement brushes ensure that the screw

of the respective brush flange sits precisely in the intended shaft
recess.
Person A lifts the motor holder into the mounting position so
8.
that person B can tighten the nuts.
Screw the cover of the service opening back on. In this process
9.
ensure that cables are not clamped.

Unscrew the threaded unions with the wall on the perimeter
bracket (Fig. 14).
Place the machine on a suitable substrate on the rear of the
housing.
Only applies for the model Politec Solar with polish dispenser:
Unscrew the cap nut on the polish dispenser with an open-end
wrench (10 mm) and swing the polish dispenser upward (Fig. 15).
Unscrew the 4 nuts of the motor carrier on the inside of the rear
wall of the housing with an open-end wrench (10 mm) (Fig. 16).
The respective shaft side can now be made accessible by swing-
ing the motor carrier to the right side or left side (Fig. 17). When
swinging the motor carrier do not over-extend the motor cable.
Detach the flanges with an Allen wrench (3 mm).
Pull the brushes off of the shaft.
Slide on the new brushes in the same manner.
Fix the brush flange or brush in place on the shaft or motor
casing. In this process ensure that the fixing screws are again
precisely positioned in the respective shaft receptacle.
Firmly fasten the motor holder on the inside of the rear wall of
the housing with 4 nuts. In this process ensure that the ground
cable is firmly connected to the housing.
Position the machine at the intended location and bolt the
bracket to the wall.
