Charging Up the Battery

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Only connect the mains adapter to a plug socket that is properly installed and mat-
ches its technical data. The plug socket must be readily accessible after connection
so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■ Pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket if an error occurs during charging or
before a thunderstorm.
■ It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you fi rst use the de-
vice in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. If the battery is fully
discharged during use, it must be fully charged up again before it is next used.
4. First disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power and then from the main
unit.
5. When the battery has run out, the control lamp on the On / Off alternates between
red and blue and the device turns off .

Assembling the Device

1. If you have not already done so, place the nozzle with scraper lip (4) onto the device:
– Plug the nozzle as far as it will go into the suction opening on the front of the
collecting container (5) and check that it fi ts securely. The release button (3) must
be heard to lock in place.
2. If you need to, plug the telescopic rod (6) into the opening on top of the device. The
locking catch must be heard to lock in place.
3. Adjust the telescopic rod to the length you require:
– Twist the top part of the extension rod anticlockwise to release the telescopic rod.
– Extend the rod to the length you require.
– Twist the top part clockwise to fi x the telescopic rod in place.
When you want to remove the nozzle again, press the release button and at the same
time pull the nozzle out of the suction opening.

1. Connect the barrel connector of the mains adapter (7) to
the main unit.
2. Connect the mains adapter to a plug socket. The control
lamp on the On / Off (1) switch then lights up blue and
fl ashes while the device is charging.
3. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for around
3 – 3.5 hours. The control lampon the On / Off is lit up
permanently in blue when the device is fully charged.
