5.8.Turning
Always check that disc thickness is
greater than the minimum permitted
by the car manufacturer.
Electrically connect the lathe to the disc
driving unit.
Switch on the disc driving unit motor.
Set the turning depth by rotating the tool
adjusting knob one or two notches (each
turn of the knob corresponds to 0.1 mm
per cut)
Tighten the screw blocking the tools.
Turn the lathe motor on by pressing the
relative push button.
Stop the lathe motor once the tools have
gone completely beyond the braking band.
If another cut is necessary, move the tools
back to the middle of the disc.
The finish can be improved by going over
it by hand with a fine grain emery cloth.
Stop the disc driving unit motor.

Remove the tools and lathe.
Disconnect the disc driving unit from the
shaft
Unscrew the bracket securing screw from
the disc.
The disc must always turn against
the cutting edge of the tool.
