If the light is activated, the background illumination of the display is
turned on automatically on receipt of new messages. Upon falling
back to the standby mode, the illumination is turned off again.

6.2.6 Set alert pattern

The acoustic alarm can be set for each individual address to silent,
mini beep or one of 16 different sound patterns. Press the upper key
(1) to select the address and press the lower key (3) to choose the
sound patterns. A sample tune of the chosen alert is played. Confirm
the selection with the middle key (2).
