The CE Marking confirms that our products
conform to the EC Directives 2004/108/EEC
(EMC) and the EMC Law.
In our EMC Laboratory, which is accredited by the
DATech for Testing of Electromagnetic Compatibility,
proof has been documented that these Balluff products
meet the EMC requirements of the following harmonized
standards:
− EN 61000-6-4 (Emission) and
− EN 61000-6-2 (Noise Immunity)
Laser class 2. The optical distance sensors BOD 66M
fulfil the requirements of the safety standard IEC 60825-
1:1993+A2:2001 for a class 2 product. They also fulfil the
regulations in accordance with U.S. 21 CFR 1040.10 and
1040.11 for a Class II product with the exception of the
deviations described in the document "Laser Notice No.
50", dated June 24, 2007.

− Flashing: Teach-in in progress or fault condition
− Off: No power
Yellow LED
− On: Object in learned range
− Flashing: Teach-in in progress
− Off: Object outside the learned range
Teach button
Used for setting the switching distance. Alternately the
control line input can be used to set the switching
distance.
