SUGGESTED INSTALLATION OF AN XCLEAR BEADFILTER
A swing check valve installed below water level in a location of easy access makes the pump prime much more easily and prevents the pump
from being blown empty during rinse with blower.

PRE-FILTERS
The in- and output system of a bead lter has laterals (slotted pipe) to keep the beads inside the lter and therefore we need a pre- lter to
prevent the possibility of large solids (string algae, pine needles, leaves and sh waste) coming in from a bottom drain or submersible pump.
We strongly recommend the use of a pre- lter in the above-described situations.
There are several options that can be used as a pre- lter; by example you can use the Xclear Sieve (a gravity fed sieve lter) that can keep out
the larger solids.
