Cleaning and maintenance

TIP: Before performing cleaning or maintenance work, disconnect the controller's power supply.
The wind protection insert is virtually maintenance-free. The required cleaning and maintenance can be
carried out by the user by following these instructions.
The inVENTer wind protection insert is highly durable and can be washed repeatedly. Clean the wind protec-
®
tion insert once per year (or more frequently depending on requirements and/or air quality) using detergent
and warm water.
We recommend cleaning the wind protection insert annually, ideally in combination with the reversing fan.
Cleaning the wind protection insert:
1. Remove the inner panel, the reversing fan and
the thermal accumulator from the wall sleeve (see section 3.1).
2. Pull the wind protection insert out of the wall sleeve by its handle.
3. Clean the wind protection insert under warm running water.
4. Wait until the wind protection insert is completely dry.
5. Slide the wind protection insert into the wall sleeve as far as the stop
tape. (iV-Twin: 1 x wind protection insert per wall sleeve)
Make sure that the slant of the wind protection insert is oriented downwards.
Make sure that the handle on the wind protection insert is pointing towards
the interior.
6. Place the thermal accumulator insert (heat accumulator, reversing fan)
and the inner cover back into the wall sleeve (see section 3.3).
TIP: After cleaning and maintenance, ensure that the fi lter and inner cover are installed correctly to
prevent a malfunction of the ventilation unit.
5 Disposal
Replace broken, damaged and/or heavily soiled wind protection inserts to ensure error-free operation of your
ventilation unit.
After use, the wind protection insert can be disposed of as household waste.
Ensure that the product's packaging is sorted correctly for disposal.
